Camp Good News

Camp Good News has been part of the ministry of CEF for many years and runs in countries around the world. Using CEF-owned or rented facilities, trained staff run a camp program focused squarely on evangelism and discipleship.

Why camp

Camp does something a weekly club cannot. Several days away from the ordinary routine, with the same leaders and the same group of children the whole time, gives room for conversations that an hour a week never quite reaches. For many children, camp is where what they have been hearing finally becomes their own.

What camp is built around

  • Clear Gospel teaching, with time and space for a child to respond
  • Discipleship for children who already believe
  • Bible lessons, songs, and Scripture memory
  • The games, activities, and outdoor time that make it camp
  • Counselors and staff who are there for the children, not just supervising them

Staff and safety

Camp staff are trained by CEF and screened under our child protection policy, which includes an application, references, and a background check. Parents are welcome to ask us anything about how a camp is run and who their child will be with.

Dates, location, and registration

Camp details vary by year and by chapter. For this year’s dates, location, cost, and registration, or to ask about sending a child who could not otherwise afford to come, contact your local chapter.

Serving at camp

Camps run on volunteers — counselors, kitchen and maintenance help, nurses, and drivers. If you would like to spend part of a summer this way, get involved and we will connect you with the chapter nearest you.
