For Churches
Is your church passionate about reaching the children in your community? We would like to help you do it. CEF of Iowa comes alongside local churches to launch clubs, train workers, and connect children to a church family that will still be there years from now.
How the partnership works
We are not a substitute for the local church and we are not trying to become one. Our aim is the opposite: children who hear the Gospel in a club need a congregation to belong to, and the church nearest them is the right one. So we bring the program and the training, your people bring the relationships, and the children end up connected to you.
What CEF provides
- Training for your volunteers, from first-time helpers to club teachers
- Lessons, visuals, and materials for each club
- Help getting a club started — including the process for a club in a public elementary school
- Child protection screening standards for everyone working with children
- A staff or chapter contact who stays available after the club launches
What your church provides
- People willing to be trained and to show up week after week
- A place to meet, or families willing to host in their neighborhoods
- A welcome for the children and families a club brings in
Ways to start
- A Good News Club in a school, home, or community center near your church during the school year
- Summer clubs in the backyards and parks of your neighborhood
- A Party Club as a one-time outreach your congregation can rally around
- Host a training and open it to other churches in your area
